Monday

Well I believe you where out on monday. You said that we can have a free blog, so that means I get to write about anything I want to. Monday was pretty easy for me. I went to school, and my first class was empty. So I went to get something to eat with Soledad, and Alejandro. We went to get some food at the Lofting Student Center. I ate two tacos, which were chorizo con huevo, and a ham and egg taco. They where pretty good, except the fact that the tortillas tasted like cardboard. Oh and the soda that I purchased was horribly flat. I thought for a split second that I was drinking contaminated water. I am not sure if you ever tried some water that was contaminated, but it tastes contaminated. It is not a comforting feeling at all. After my breakfast, I went to the reading lab. There is where I do my reading lab work. The teacher I have for that class is really cool. She let us leave a little early. And she did not assign any homework for the day. So my day kept on getting better, and better. My third class was coming up. But I was waiting in the Moodly Learning Center. So when it was time for my class to start, I showed up. And my teacher was no where to be found.

Compare OR Contrast

When I found out that I was going to write an essay about MySpace and Facebook. My first reactions where, "Wow, this is going to be really easy." But as I started to hear some of the requirments, my thoughts seem to stray away from my original thoughts. So as usuall, I went to the writing center for guidance. I was originally going to write some things that MySpace and FaceBook were different. But I found out that it is more simple to write the things that were alike. Because I can think of a million things that MySpace and FaceBook have in common. So I started to gather all the information I could think of. Which was just as common as anything to everything. I picked out three of the major things MySpace and FaceBook had in common. And from there, my ideas kept on raging. They grew, and grew until I couldn't think of anything else. When I went to the writing center for guidance, I was no where near prepared. I thought they were going to give me a pat on the back for good work, but they didn't do nothing but correct my whole entire essay. It was more than fine for me. I did not want to turn in a lowsy paper. I am actully pretty glad that they told me my paper was basically a piece of crap.

Annotated Bibliography

Well first of all, this is probably the most difficult assignment so far! Not only is it difficult it is time consuming, and probably the longest process ever. I can't seem to get the hang of this assignment. But I'm going to the writing center, to get me started on the article. It is a little hard, but if I try my best, I can do well on this assignment. I feel like I am not getting the material, nor the attention I need. I feel like I am all on my own. This is very hard for me to manage. I need some extra guidance from my group, and possibly my instructor. If this is not to much to ask for, that is. Maybe If I were to stay after class and ask several questions or something. Getting started is the most difficult thing to do. If I can get a great start, the body, and conclusion should be very easy. I am not trying to say that its going to be easy for me, but once that happens, there is no limit to what I can do. I suprise myself everytime I write something. Wheather it be funny, serious, or straight out random, overall I can do a good job.

Writing Center Exp.

When we were in the writing center, we were reviewing our comparison or contrast essay. I found out that I wasn't talking to much about how MySpace and FaceBook were alike. I kept on giving examples. And talking more about the fact that they are alike. Sort of the way, as if I was doing it in 1st person. Originally, the essay is suppose to be 3rd person. So I had alot of work that I needed to be done. I never would have noticed the problem. But I was in a different group that day. And they pointed it out, I could not believe myself. I felt like I was in high school, still making careless mistakes. How could I let myself slip up like that. I am pretty glad I got this taken care of. Luckily we have groups, and we have time to go back into the writing center, and review and examine our work. If we did not do this, I would probably not gone over my assignment. And I would of failed. If I failed, I would have to retake the course. That would really suck, because I came all this way just to fail. I don't thing so. I would be hurt from my financial aid. Which would lead into less financial aid. So I am happy to say that the writing center experience was fairly well. Needless to say, if it were up to me, and if I have the available time, I would see the writing center on a normal basis. I get essays from class about every 2 to 3 weeks. So I could atleast visit once a week, to see where I stand in class, and on my articles or essays. This would be a fairly well plan to put my time into. Only if I had the time. I go to the writing center speratcaly. I know this can effect me, but if I went to them all the time, it will effect my other classes. So I am in a win loose situation. Never the less, I would say stay in school, stay off drugs, and always attend class on a regular basis. You should also sit infront of the class when you can. If you can not, sitting as close as you can to the instructor, will be your best bet. And visit the writing center, it can really be affective on your half as a San Antonio College student.

ThanksGiving

Well Thanks Giving is just another day to me. I still get up in the same mood, way, and manner. I don't get all happy because its Thanks Giving. I just get up, and get dressed. This Thanks Giving I am going to work. So I am just going to work, come home and eat. My family grows and grows each year. My cousins have kids, and their kids have kids, and its too much hastle for them to come to my parents house and celebrate. Most of the time its just my intermediate family. I am buying the turkey this year. Well actually I am getting the turkey for free. My work gives all the partners a free turkey. So I will try to find the biggest fattest turkey out there. Last year I did the same thing. I worked and when I had gotten home, the food was ready. I need to pick up the turkey by tomorrow. So I can put it in the freezer, and take it out the night before Thanks Giving. Like I said it isn't really a big deal to my family or to me. But this is one of the few times we all hang out together. Because now a days, my family is really busy. My mom works, as well as my sisters, and brothers. So we will all be off this day, (except for me). But I am going to get out early. I am working on Thanks Giving day because I am going to be getting paid time and a half! I make $9 normally, so that day I will be making $13.50. Which is not bad, because I am gonna have like 40 hours that week. So I will be banking it that day! I believe that I am going to transfer departments. I have a feeling that I will be working in Grocery that day. I really hope I do not. Because I really do work alot. And it is physical work too. Im going to be moving up and down, and all around the place. I am not going to like it one bit. I am saying this because, I am going to be dressed really nice. I hope I dont mess up my clothes. Because that will ruin my future plans.

11.11.09

Today in class we rewrote our assignment. It was on the compare or contrast essay, of Myspace and Facebook. The first thing I did was read what I wrote yesterday. I do not know why I wrote some of the things that I did yesterday. When I was reading it, I could not help but laugh. I wrote everything over again. I did not even keep some of the same material, actually I did not keep any material from mondays assignment. I spent alot of time thinking about what I should of wrote, before I started writing. I noticed that I did soo much thinking, and not enough writing. I found this assignment fairly easy. I should get an "A+" on this paper. There is some signifacant differences on Myspace and Facebook. But there is also alot of similarities. That is why I am writing about all the things Myspace and Facebook have in common. I like several things about Myspace, and a few things about Facebook. I am more of a Myspace fan, but I can not complain about Facebook. It is almost the same thing. But like I said, there is plenty of differences. So I started to write the major similarities about these networks. I found it faily easy. I can't beleive I wasted alot of time on thinking about all the posibilites of my paper. When I just needed to do it, instead of stalling. I find this class fairly easy. I can't wait till I get into the college level course. I am going to try and pick Ms. Crawford's Freshman Composition class. I think if I can pass this class, I will be able to pass any of these classes. When I am done with writing essay, I will be satisfyed when I see my grade. Because I know it is going to be a passing grade.

11.06.09

On Friday we attended the computer room, and we wrote about SAC. Well if you do not know me, I am a real funny guy who likes to joke around all the time. So to start things off I titled my essay "SAC is What Separates the Men from Boys!" And from there on, I kept on cracking jokes here and there. But other than that, I was just being dumb. I kind of learned how to use the MLA format. I wasn't really too sure what our thesis statement was about. But it is more than okay, I was not too concerned about it. And Friday was a really big day for me, it was me and my girlfriend's one year aniversy. It was alright. I went to go eat Saltgrass. Everybody, told me it was the best steak place to go eat at. After that experience, I doubt I will go eat at Saltgrass again. But to get back to the story, my English 301 class is the best, and I will be more than happy to be in Mrs. Crawford's Freshman Composition class.

Today's articles, well to start things off my group was one of the groups who presented. (We were the most well performend, and we had the most interseting stories.) Our presentation consisted of 3 articles. Although we only had the link for 2 of the given aritcles, we did an outstanding job. The article me and Julie went over, was about Facebook. Most people in your class own a Facebook page. The article went over how a whole bunch of people were getting rid of their facebook. They gave reasons like they considered themselves stalkers because they would be on somebody elses page, for hours and not leave them any type of comment. And other people say that it makes them look bad. Honestly, these people just want attention. I don't know why, or I do I understand why they have to write articles about this. Okay, if you don't like facebook, or anything about it, why would you waste your time on how they don't like facebook. What caught my attention about this passage, was one important line. It was when it says, "The facebook profile isn't you, Its wat you make if of you." Which is 100% true! People are saying their facebook makes them look horrible, because of this and that. When you think about it, what did you pu on your profile to make it seem like that! You shouldn't blame anybody but yourself. So these no for good low lives, should do something else, other than complain about a website. It the other group they had a presentation that caught my attention. It wasn't because it was interesting, but it was because it was so iggnerant. I can't beleive the nerve on some people. There are a whole bunch of people going against myspace. Because little girls are getting raped, and people are being kidnapped from their homes. And all of these stupid mistakes one does. I don't blame nobody else, but the person who creates the profile. And there are many things that could have been done to prevent this. There is young girls, lying about their age, and saying they are a legal age. And they meet up with guys, and loosing their virginities. If it hasn't been taken already. They should consult with their parents permission, before they make a myspace or anything. If they aren't of age. So stay away from nagging little girls, that want to be your friend.

YouTube Video 11/02/09

Other than this youtube video being the most boring thing I have ever watched in my life, it was alright. To tell you the truth, I don't even know what the lady was trying to say. Or what point she was trying to prove. All I heard was, "blah, blah, blah, blah!" I was hopeing the video would be cut short, looks like I was very wrong. It took forever and a day to finish. Actually, we didn't even have enough time to finish watching that video in class. I am not sure if it was because we started to watch the video in class late, or it was just very long. The way the lady was putting things, was so dull and boring. I couldn't help but think of other videos on youtube. I would have rather watched something funny on youtube. There is like millions of videos posted on that website a day, and some how we were stuck to watch that video. Like I said before, I have no clue what the lady was trying to prove, but I do remember her repeating herself, and repeating herself. It was quiet annoying if you ask me. I know all of my members in my group didn't like the video either. I am not too sure about the other groups in the classroom, how they felt about the video, but I am pretty sure they were unhappy with it. It was just like the other video we had to watch. That video was just as boring, I can't remember the name of it, but it was an hour long. And it took forever to finish. Back to the subject at hand, I really hope we do not have to watch that boring video. Because if I do, I think I am going to flat out die in my chair. And I really do not want that happen. I wouldn't know how my group react, knowing the lost a leader. But not just any leader, probably the best, funniest, coolest, nicest, out-going, etc, kind of leader. I wouldn't know what to do without my group. They are always there for me when I need to know when a blog is due, or when I need directions on an assignment. So in conclusion, when watching a boring youtube video, it is always helpful to have group members, or friends, that can help you through this time of crisis. And let you in on some further information about the given video.

Killing Us Softly Part 3

This video showed me how much technology can change the image of somebody. It take an ordinary looking girl, and turns her into a beautiful women. It shows her flaws in the begging of the video. And as it goes on, it shows how they move her face, and do numerous things to her. In the end it shows her, and you wouldn't beleive that it was the girl in the first place. It made me think, about how people really look when I see them on posters and on billboards. With technology now a days, it makes it impossible to beleive what I really see. In the other video we saw, it shows a guy. I am not trying to be gay in any way shape or form, but he was a decent looking guy. Then they start rewinding what they had did to the guy. Originally he had pimples and bad acne. He was really chubby, and he had ugly hair. It shows how he use to eat. And so forth. I couldnt beleive what I was looking at. It was really weird. But it just shows how technology has evolved.

Free Blog

Well well well, I always knew things would come down to this. I always wanted a free blog, it just makes my life complete. This week was my birthday week, and it has been going good all week. I turned 19 on Wednesday, of October 28, 2009. I wasn't too excited, because 19 is nothing to be looking forward to. It started off as a regular day, I woke up and went to school. It was starting off slow. Nobody really knew it was my birthday, except for like two people. So it was a little depressing. Untill I got a text message from my friends and family. I started to get a little more happy. I went to go get a hair cut, and it came out decent. I also bought some clothes, so I can wear that night. So as the day went on, it was getting better and better. My girlfriend and I went to the Towers Of The Americas. It was pretty cool, and it was a big suprise. She also got me a ipod, not just any ordinary ipod. It was the newest and latest ipod. It was able to record and it has alot of giga bytes. So I can have a whole bunch of music on it. I was really happy. Then I went to go eat with my friends from work and school. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings. My friend Fabian bought me some shoes that I had been wanting. I was happy, and then the food was really good. My other friend Robert, bought me some cologne. And I also got a gift from my friend Jim. He bought me some accesories for my car. And I thought my day couldnt get any better, until I found a $1 dollar bill on the floor. I was soo excited. I didn't think all the things that had happened could have been true, but turns out, it was the real deal baby!

Pandora

Well Pandora was a really cool website that I recently found out about. I actually found out about it on monday! It is really cool, I'm glad I came across it! It plays the music that I enjoy. And I have no complaints about it. However, the other website was really boring. It is so boring, that I don't even remember the name of the website. It didn't do the same thing as Pandora. Well in a way it did the same thing. But I just think that Pandora caught my attention more, because it has a variety of things. It puts music that it thinks that you like, and stuff. And it also has a little bit of information, about the artist or band. Which is really cool, and can be interesting. I never even heard about this website, until monday, and now I feel like if I won't stop using it. I am actually listening to Pandora right now, I have it opened in another window. I think I will use it, untill the website gets shut down or till my computer messes up. I am sort of getting used to this website still. But I honeslty can say that I will use this. Because the music I listen to, is called "underground." It rarely is played on the radio. It is because they don't rap for the money, they do it for their own hobbie. And now a days, a rap artist, sing about all the same things. It is really annoying. And theses guys who are underground, have a more harder life style. And that is what makes their music, music. I was really glad to find a whole bunch of songs on this website! I listen to Big Moe, Z-ro, Trae, Slim Thug, UGK, Pimp C, Liveola, Kyle Lee, and it just goes on. I am pretty sure that you have no clue, who these people are, but on the other hand, Pandora does! Thats why I really like this website!

"Jeremy's 1st vlog"

This vlog is about some guy named Jeremy. He has been in the hospital for who knows how long, with countless surgeries! He is over weight, and has gotten a gastric bypass surgery. It is his 1st vlog in the nursing home. He is very funny, and making jokes about his situation. Most people are very shy when doing a vlog, but not this guy! He is very funny, and telling probably over a million people, what has just happened to him. I know most people don't like to be telling anyone their business. And I'm pretty sure nobody would want to tell anybody about the recent surgery they just had or anyting like that. Jeremy is clearly over weight. He doesn't care, he makes fun of himself. Not to make people feel sad for him, but to make people laugh. He has had surgery on his neck, stomach, colon, and who knows where else. He can't move his legs, and doesn't seem to keep him down. He had a tube stuck in his throat, and he wasn't able to talk to 9 months! Personally, I can't even go 9 minutes without talking. Not talking for 9 months must be such a pain in the butt! I don't know how somebody can do that! It really is amazing though, that he can laugh about it, and crack jokes, and even put this video blog (vlog) on youtube. I honestly don't know why this guy did this vlog, but I can't believe he did this! I am not saying this was a bad idea or anything. But he has shocked me, and I am pretty sure that has shocked millions of people all over the world. Through all this surgery he has found god, and is now he has strong faith in the lord. I am a catholic, and I do believe god has blessed this man. He has a wife, and his dad is by his side all the time. This is good to know, that he is not alone in this. He has his wife and dad to strengthen him through this surgery. And of course he has the power of the lord to protect him.

YouTube!

I like to watch a lot of videos on youtube. It is a really fun thing to do when ever I am bored. This video that I watch, was some what interesting. But it was really boring towards the end. It said that over the past 5 years, some network had 60,000 views. And when youtube just started comming out with videos, it had over 60,000 views in 6 months. So they are basically doing really well, actually pretty good! Some people have to pay hundreds of dollars for a commercial, or for an advertisement. Youtube doesn't charge you one cent. So a lot of people go to youtube, make videos, vlogs, postings, and all kind of interesting things. And they get a ton of feedback. Which makes them very happy, people visit youtube, and can't get off or away from that website. It has everything you can imagine. Funny things, sad, mad, happy, sexy, nasty, and so on. People love this website, and not too many people have complained about it! There is this one guy, who claims that youtube, saved his life, his son was taken from him, months after he was born. So in order to cheer himself up, he would make videos, to keep his head up, make him laugh, and so on. This to me, is simply amazing. If somebody can live after a death, and move on, instead of being sad and taking their own life, to me it is a blessing. I am really happy with youtube, and everything about it. I have no complaints about it what so ever. I am glad the producers of youtube, keep things new and updated every six months. It makes my day interesting, and fun. Oh and of course it makes my life bored-free! I was glad to hear that in my class I will have to watch a youtube video for homework! This is probably the most easiest homework that I have ever done in my life. Even though it was a little boring, I still enjoyed doing this assignment very much. And I will look forward to more video homework assignments. Hopefully they are not boring, like this one, but intersting.

Blog 3 and Writing Assignment Difference

My 3rd blog was significantly different from my writing assignment. It is somewhat similar, but I think it has almost nothing in common. The only thing that I believe it is similar is, that I am not pleased by my grade. But I am complaining to my friends, in my group. I don't confront the teacher what so ever. I am just talking behind her back, which is not something an adult would do, that is what something a kid would do. I also have a really good excuse, which is that I had got dropped from my financial aid. And I want to receive a higher grade. In the blog assignment, I just have to write 300 words. Which is not hard for me, because I am doing these 300 word blogs a week. Sometimes I might even do 2, 300 blogs a class period. That is why I am doing alot better, in writing, sentence structure, and grammer. In my writing assignment, I am trying to convince my teacher to change my grade, I am giving her a list of excuses, well lets not say excuses, lets say reasons to change my grade. In my assignment I say that I had got dropped from my financial aid, and I had to get everything settled with them. And that they made me choose my classes, I wanted the exact same ones. And they also told me that I was going to be a little lost in class, but I really wasn't because I had been in the class, I was just being there for no reason. I wasn't on the schedule. But anways, I beleive I should get a good grade on this assignment. If not, I will find my instructors car, and leave it on bricks. JUST PLAYING THIS IS NOT A THREAT, IT IS A JOKE! But anywho, to sum things up really quick, I will see to this on Friday.

Internet Dating

It never fails, it never fails. People are complaining about just anything they can now a days. They are complaining about internet dating. I can't seem to understand the way people like to make huge deals, about something that is somebody's elses business. They are saying young girls are being raped due to internet dating, and to other websites. Such as myspace, facebook, twitter, and just about any other website where you can meet people. First of all, girls should have a little more respect for themselves. If they want to meet somebody on the internet, they should be a little more safer about how they present themself. Or where they meet that other guy. They should at least meet somewhere, where there will be pleanty of people. And get to know the guy alot, before they decide to take their relationship really serious. Another thing is that their is people saying they are so and so, and they turn out to be somebody else. Which is an outrage. The people who pretend to be somebody else, is just the most craziest thing somebody can do. They are either ashamed of themselves. Which they shouldn't, because they should be happy who they are. They have to be their own person. Not trying to be somebody else. Like I said earlier in this blog, they should meet somewhere in public! So they can be seen, and meet the person first hand. I honestly think internet dating is stupid. But if other people find internet dating nice, and fun. Then go on ahead, and do your thing!

Internet Gays

There is a lot of people getting mad, saying that the websites should be for straight people trying to hook up with other straight people. A lot of people are going to gay websites, and trying to find them dates. As in men seeking men, and women seeking women. Straight people are going to this website, and getting really mad, and trying to close down these websites. Because it ain't right. That the internet dating is meant only for straight people. I think that the straight people should mind their own business. Because they have websites they can go to, and meet people they are interested in. For example, men seeking women, and women seeking men. So I don't have the slightest clue, why they would go to a gay website, and try to shut that website down. It don't make sense what so ever! They should let bigons, be bigons. They are humanbings too, they have feelings. Maybe not for the same things other people do. But they have feelings. So they should be left alone. What really grinds my gears, is that the stupid straight people are making a great big deal about this! They just want another thing to complain about. Which is stupid! But anyway back to the subject. I think if people want to be dating online, they should go ahead and do so. If they want to be seeking the same sex, that is fine by me. It may not be to others, but we are entiltled to our own opinion. Some like to speak their thoughts, and others like to keep it to themselves. Which mose people would greatly enjoy, if people would just keep their thoughts and personal opinions to themself. But any who, thank you for your time, and have a wonderful day. Writing Assignment

Today's assignment was pretty good. I found out some things that I need to work on. For instance, I need to make my email a little more longer. I didn't elaborate as much as I should have. I was thinking my paper was just about finished. But I guess I was wrong. I still need to make it a little bit longer. I didn't give enough information, because I wasn't thinking about anything else, but finishing the paper. I kind of have a better idea on what to write about. I had help from my group members, who where: Julie, Soledad, some other girl that had joined our group. I forgot her name, I think it was Isis, or Iris. I really can't remember. But anywho, they each gave me their own opinion. And they also helped me out with my grammer, and sentence structure. And Mrs. Crawford helped me out a ton. I think when I finish my assignment, it will become a good assignment. If I fail, which I doubt, I will be pretty suprised. Because I will do my best. I have a feeling Mrs. Crawford will really like my paper. I kind of have nothing else keeping me back from doing the essay write now, but I have to do this blog. It will get me started on my writing, which is good for me. I kind of want to get an "A" so I will stop doing this assignment and start doing my other assignment.

Today, I didn't find anything hard about the assignment. I feel like this assignment should be easy. Well not easy, easy, but I feel like I can get a good grade on this. Because I Have a good imagination, and I can think of a few things to write about. So I found this topic very interesting. Usually I try to make my essays and storys kind of funny. This one might be a little different. Because I think I should try to be a little more serious. I can't always try to be funny, cause eventually my instructor will want to be things in a certain way. And I ain't to sure if being funny in my essays, or blogs, will meet their expectations. This assignment is the first real essay we are going to have to do. It is about me getting a bad grade, or should I say a grade that I was not happy with, and me trying to get it reconsidered. I don't have any idea what I should write it about yet. But I have an idea. I will do it tomorrow in the writing lab, because I have to get their help or approval. I'm not too sure, but I made an appointment for tomorrow, at 8:45. But anywho, I will be more prepared to do this assignment tomorrow morning. I just relized that I am going to have to wake up early again! I should of reconsidered this decision. But now it is way too late, so I won't be able to sleep in, and I am going to hopefully finish it, since I will be there early. I have to remember, in college I have to make sacrifices, and I am guessing that waking up early, and loosing out in sleep is one of them. But hopefully in the long run, it will make me a millionaire.

Yet Another Big Deal.

It never fails! It never fails, yet again, another big deal! Publisher's are making a huge deal about the new iphone being used in schools. If it is a good idea, to be using the iphone in class. That really goes hand in hand. It depends on the person who owns the iphone. They can be using the phone for a million things now. Technology has evolved in alot of ways, and in the cell phone is one of them. I personally do not own a iphone, but i know they are capable of a ton of things. I know it has a dictionary applitcation, spell check, gps, it has access to wireless internet, also has 3-g network. Which allows the iphone to use the internet where it isn't wireless. So if the student wants to check his email, or look up some information for a report, he doesn't need to get on the computer. Now that seems to be the problem with alot of publisher's. They think it affects them, that other people are not paying attention in their class, because of their phones. I don't see in anyway shape or form, how it affects them. If they are using their phone to help them with school work, or anything related in that subject, then it is definately benefiting them. If they are just on myspace or texting their friend's, thats their fault. The only person they are hurting, is themselves. They are going to miss out on a valuable lesson, and probably misunderstand the given assignment. But I still don't see how this is affecting the people writing articles about the iphone. They probably just want to get some good reviews, and want some fast cash. So they go on in other people's business. Which is just a big waste of their time.

Al Gore's Proposal

To get started on things, I'm sure everybody is in favor of putting computers, and access to the internet, in public schools. It has been proven that it can help the students and kids, to learn more! It also shows the statistics of students using a computer with access to the internet, and the students who don't use it, the students who do use the computer, tend to get higher grades than the students who did not. I think it would be a great idea, to start up a fund raiser, or some kind of fund to help out public schools get computers that have access the internet. Because there is plenty of useful websites, search engines, and email accounts. So there shouldn't be a real reason to not find the helpful information to complete a homework assignment, test, quiz, or anything that is needed for a class. And if the student has to miss class one day, they can simply email the teacher. As us college students do. In every grade they prepare you for the following grade, might as well prepare the students for college. Everybody is capable of passing high school, but now a days, you need more than just a high school deploma to do anything. So I am in favor of this proposal. Not just because it benefits the younger kids, but it benefits our society. Because we are going to have these students grow up, and they are going to become lawyers, doctors, fire fighters, police men, nurses, and so on. And they are going to have to be up to date with the computers, and technology. So might as well get them a head start, on using the internet. To guide them in the right direction, so we can help them further their education.

What is the Deal?!

Another thing I don't understand is why are they making a big, huge deal about the way we write in text messages, and emails. Everybody knows when to be formal, and when not to be formal. I don't see why people are going all crazy over somebody's text messages. It shouldn't be of any of their concer, if they aren't paying anybody's cell phone bill. And if they are not bein affected by the text messages. It does not take a rocket scientist to know when, and how to spell. Or should I say be formal, and use correct grammer. If I were to text one of my friends, I would say, "Wats up foo, what you doin? lol." Okay, if I were to email a teacher, I would say "Hello, I was wondering what are we doing for our assignment today? I missed class, and I just want to make up the work. I was very sick today, and I could not get out of bed, what so ever!" Majority if not everybody, knows when to be formal. So everybody needs to get off their friends case! Let them be, if they want to text the way the do, or email the way they do, then let them! All your doing is making your self stress out. Nobody is going to listen to anybody, if they try to make them text formal. Some people like to get away from spelling and grammer, that is why people gradutate from high school, and college. It shouldn't be on nobody's concern anyways! So if anybody wants to waste their own precious time, trying to tell me or anybody else, about how to be more formal in text messages or in emails, save your breath! I am pretty sure if will not work at all! But anyways, I g2g. My mom's been bugging me like crazy! I'm like WTF!? Peace out hommie!

Red Light Habit

Personally, I think this would be a good idea to start using. I heard it is only been used at one university. I find it very interesting. To get things straight, I heard that when you log on to your pals, or email address, it shows the light. When your light is showing green, it means that you are doing great/excellent. That means that you have an outstanding grade, that you been turning in homework, passing test, doing class work, and other things that make you pass. If it is showing yellow, you are still passing, but your not doing great, and your not doing horrible. So pretty much alot of people are going to be seeing yellow lights. And if you are seeing a red light, that is bad, very bad!! It means that you need improvements in all of your school work. You are failing, and need to pick up your grades as soon as possible. Because you can fail, it lets you know your grade average after 2 weeks in to the semester. So that is really good, as far as knowing where you are at in school. I know this would be really helpful at SAC, because as of right now, I have no idea what my grade is! I just know that I turn in all of my homework, and I'm doing what I should be doing. So I know I'm passing my classes. But the red light method would help out alot. So I could know more or less where I am in school. But since only one university is doing it, maybe they will pass on advice to other schools, and those school pass it on to other schools, and those schools pass it on to other schools, etc. And some how it gets down to my school, and pretty soon we will be doing that!

Today's Discussion

Today's discussion, kind of really opened up a different way, on how I see the class. We are having more work, which isn't bad at all. I find some of the material we are going to cover, pretty interesting. I am looking forward to what we will be doing, for our research! I know this class is going to be more interesting than my other ones. Because my other classes is just work, work, work.. They are okay, but I would prefer to do something that will catch my attention. I am more likely to pay attention, or do more work, if I find out what we are doing, is interesting. And if I am more interested in something, I tend to do a better job. I just hope I get good grades, because I do not want to be taking the class over and over again. Then I will be paying out of state tuition! And I really don't want to be paying that! My goal at the end of this semester, is to be good friends with the instructor, meet new people, get a good grade in my class (hopefully an A), and I also want to raise my GPA. I know this is possible, I just got to do all my work, and make sure I turn it on time. But anyways, I am going to be doing my best in this class, the work should be easy. After all, I am in the best group ever, which is CINCO!! But to some things up a bit, I will do every assignment, test, exam, home work, blog assignment, presentation, group work, group tests, and any other type of assignment the instructor decides to throw my way, with the best of my abilities!! In conclusion, I will be leaving you in suspense, until I continue my saga, in one of my blogs.

Dear Group CInco!

Man guess what?! Mrs. Crawford is steadily tripping! She gave me a 65 on my writing test! I was really mad, and I was also really disapointed. I mean, for pete sake! I am the group leader, I always do my work, I always turn in my work on time, I help all of the members in our group out, I wake up early because her class is first, I go asleep late doing all of her non-sense homework, and I can think of a million reasons why I didn't deserve this pathetic grade. She must of been mad, because we are always getting better grades than the "Strykers" or how bout the "All Stars". Its more like the "Loser Stars". Anywho, I say we boycott her class! I mean, who does she think she is, giving me a failing grade?! If I had 1,000,000 dollars for every time I got a low grade in Mrs. Crawford's class, I would have 1,000,000 dollars! And you know what, she has the nerve to make me stay after class!! Excuse me, but I am not in high school no more! That stopped years ago. Well not really, because I just graduated in June, but you get the picture. Sometimes I miss high school, because it was so easy to get along with the teacher. And I wouldn't get a bad grade, BUT NOOOO, not in college. Misses Grammer Check, "Mrs. Crawford", wants to be taking off points for not capitilizing "i's", or not capitilizing the first word of each sentence. Hello, we are only humanbeings! Anywho, see you females later. Im going to get on myspace, don't forget to comment my new pictures. What is my writing process?

My writing process is probably as common as everybody Else's. When it comes down to writing, or doing any home work in general, I tend to procrastinate, you know what, I take that back, I do procrastinate! For example, last week when I was doing home work I started to clean my room, organize my desk area, wash my clothes, play games on my PS3, watch T.V, look at my schedule, get on my space, face book, went to take a shower, and finally I started to do my work. By the time I knew it, it was already 11:00 P.M!! I had school the next morning! So I had to stay up really late, just to finish something that I could of done way earlier. I would of never had that problem, but I decided to procrastinate. I probably would of finished in about 45 minutes, if I had started earlier. But since I started around 11:00, I didnt finish until 2 in the morning. The reason being, was that I was so tired from the whole day! I kept on dozing off, and re-reading paragraphs. I wasn't paying as much attention, as I should of. I always tell my self that I will stop this procrastinating, but I never really do. It gets worse, and worse everyday! I always laugh to my self about it, but one of these days it will get me in to trouble. And I think then, thats when i will learn not to procrastinate.

How do I use technology

Well, to start things off, I love technology! It is a really big part of my life! I use technology everyday. Most people do not know that they use technology. You use it when you talk on the cell phone, text, listen to an i-pod, internet, gps, car, air conditioning, its basically something that makes life easier. Now a days, technology is getting more advanced. I see little kids running around and texting on their cell phones. The first thing that comes to my mind, was that I didn't get a cell phone until I was in the 8th grade. The second thing, is that how did they learn how to use a cell phone? Its because everything is getting more simple, and easy. My parents are so out of date, they want to use the VCR, and listen to records. Sometimes I have to check them, and tell them thats why we have DVDs and CDs. What gets to me is that they don't know how to set up the TV or they can't use the computer. Anyways I use technology all the time, all day everyday. I love to text on my phone, listen to my ipod, drive around in my car, use the computer, get on myspace, facebook, blogger, and everything that is on the web.
